Paco, this place is fantastic. Very crowded, mostly Europeans, food good, staff very kind, Ocean views beautiful. A few mishaps getting here, with 2 stuck in Norfolk, when flight cancelled, 1 stuck in Madrid with overbooked flight (and they refused to sit him in empty first class seats, 2 rented car at airport and forgot to bring hotel info and spent several hours driving around, when they finally decided to check old emails on their phone. We only had a few minutes with our guide, but he seems like a nice guy, and we look forward to our first tour tomorrow. The rooms here are fantastic, and no complaints so far. The weather so far is great, and hopefully, stays like this. With all the snow at home this winter, it’s a pleasure to be here. I’ll keep you updated.

This is the view from our balcony, looking down on Puerto de la Cruz. Tomorrow we fly to Madrid. Everything was perfect. Weather sunny 70s every day, hotel great, food good, fantastic guide, excellent tours. So far not one complaint. Will talk when I get home.

Paco, Another winner! Not a simple glitch. Madrid went very well. The Emperador hotel is right in the heart of the city. Extremely convenient. We did the usual trip to Segovia and people went crazy shopping at El Corte Ingles. Costa del Sol, the Sol House hotel, good as always. We enjoyed the Day in a Village tour including the home-hosted lunch.

The Sana Sesimbra hotel is just wonderful…easy access, great staff…small enough for personal attention, and still extremely nice…great breakfasts and attention to detail by the hotel…the day tours were perfect. The trip was wonderful and everyone had a great time in Barcelona. Exploring the city was exciting and interesting. The hotel staff in Barcelona were so helpful and patient answering our questions and referring sites and places to dine! Even though the weather was damp it didn’t stop us from enjoying Costa del Sol and our tour days were clear when it needed to be. In Costa del Sol, Antequera is beautiful and our tour guide was voted one of the best! We could have spent a couple days there. So now we have two new tour guides in Spain we really think are exceptional. So other than the delay at the Train Station, all went well.

I am an Art Instructor with a large following of artist painters who travel with me to Europe twice a year. I have been using the services of an excellent professional named Jennifer Gsell since 1988 during the years she worked for Sun in CT.

I am an experienced traveler and have been almost everywhere with my groups including Italy (Sorrento and Venice), Portugal’s Algarve, Costa del Sol, Spain, the Greek Island of Santorini, the French Riviera etc. etc. This year we are planning a trip to Costa del Sol in April and one to Greece in the fall. IRELAND – April 2014

My name is Marguerite MacVeigh (Marge). I am a Tour Coordinator for Cape May County area in New Jersey, USA and I have been working with Paco Bonnemaison for quite a few years now. I have had very successful tours for the past five years to Spain (Costa Del Sol), with lots of “regulars” and new people each year. In March of 2014, we also included a five day, four night tour of Morocco. What an adventure!

This past October, I took a group of 30 on a trip to Ireland with Paco. I have been to Ireland several times with other agencies, but have never had such a wonderful tour. Our bus driver/tour leader Andrew is the BEST I have encountered in my many years of touring the world. He was so knowledgeable and personable, that soon everyone was in awe of him. The hotels we stayed in were fabulous and we were treated like royalty no matter where Andrew took us. He soon knew all of our names, and was very interested in each of us.

I am now taking a group on a 12-Day Greek Island Hopping Tour in October, 2014. Sounds great, looks great, and I will of course let you know about our Greece Tour when we arrive home once again.

SPAIN, Barcelona & Madrid – March 2014

How are you?

As usual, I am glad to report our last experience for your website.

Our group in March to Costa del Sol, Barcelona, and Madrid was a tremendous success. Everyone enjoyed the Amaragua Hotel in Torremolinos, as every year, where they really treated us all like royalty. The food and the service were as good as ever. It’s a delight to be there. By the way, the included tours this year were even better than in 2013. Our hostess Karen Quigley is a jewel and you are fortunate to have her. Please thank her again on our behalf.

One thing my people enjoyed a lot was the high speed train ride (the Ave) from Malaga to Barcelona. What a comfortable and fast way to cross the country!

Barcelona is grand. I highly recommend it, especially the hotel you booked for us. The Calderon was right in the center of town and within walking distance from everything!

Just looking at the facades of the buildings in Barcelona is a delight for the senses.

But Madrid was also nice. We enjoyed ther special tours and everyhting went well. Many are asking me where are we going next. Let’s hope that the Catholic Spain, Portugal, and France for next October is great too.

Another successful trip! Aside from the usual colds, I think this was one of the most sociable, adventurous, and friendly groups I’ve hosted. I have been a group leader, tour coordinator for over 20 years and I have been acquainted with Francisco (Paco) Bonnemaison for six of those years. Since I met Paco and have gone on many trips which have been organized by him and Sun Tours International; I only will use his travel agency. Last October I took a group to Greece for a “Greek Islands Adventure”. The trip was completely professionally ran by Paco and i did not have to worry about anything from the airport to the islands and back again. FRANCE, Provence & the French Riviera – Sep 2015

Dear Paco,

Last year’s Portugal trip was wonderful and I was concerned that we could not match it but this year’s Provence trip was even more fantastic! Everything was perfectly coordinated: the airlines, buses, and hotels. The hotels were very good and the Best Western Atrium Hotel in Arles was located right at the historic district with easy walking access to everything. Our tour escort, Alejandro, was a history graduate who added so much depth to the tour and what a great personality!

Our group members are already asking about where to do next year’s tour. Thanks for all your hard work and we look forward to working with SunTours again next year.

Our trip to Sesimbra, Portugal was fantastic in every way. You’d never know there was a TAP pilot’s strike, the flight was great. The airport transfer went smoothly with a great guide, all the bus trips were perfect. The bus arrived each scheduled day exactly on time. It was indeed a pleasure working with you as your coordinated the trip that Heart to Art Inc. organized to Costa del Sol dated Sept 30-Oct 14, 2015. You were extremely knowledgeable about the package offered. The details were all made clear by your ongoing instructions and clarifications of any concerns I had. The transfer between planes when we arrived in Madrid was truly a running experience between planes and airports but service throughout the whole trip was satisfactory. Service at the hotel was very good. The staff was very pleasant ant accommodating. Thanks for your assistance and direction when one of my travelers was left behind because she failed to follow directions that her passport had to be valid for 6 months after return. Unfortunately her mother died the evening she arrived and arrangements had to be made so she could leave the following day. Again, I would like to complete this message to you and your team informing you that my entire group sends regards for your concern and administrative skills. PORTUGAL, Algarve – Jan 2016

The Portobelo Hotel is fantastic. We are being treated like royalty. Hotel is great, they can’t do enough for us. They bend over backwards to fulfill our every need. Our guide, Lucio is wonderful. The great weather you ordered for us has kept everyone smiling. The ones that missed Spain last year booked a tour to Seville for one of the free days and Gibraltar for the other. The hotel insisted the golfers use their shuttle to the golf course. The restaurants are empty and reasonable, and the staff seem happy to care for us. I haven’t had one complaint yet. Thanks for a great trip.

These are my comments on the beautiful trip to Malaga Costa del Sol (Torremolinos, Spain) of this last spring staying at the beachfront Sol House Hotel

“In March of 2017 my group and I went on a Suntours 2 weeks’ vacation in Malaga, Spain. Our hotel was on the Mediterranean. It was a beautiful property, and we spent our entire vacation there! (which we feel is more relaxing than changing hotels every night!!). The food at that hotel was delicious and there was something for every palate! We went on 6 sightseeing trips which were included in our price, and most of them were full day trips. Our Tour Guide was spectacular, especially Antonio. Karen Quigley, the Senior Hostess at our hotel, was always available to assist us for shopping or signing up for other optional tours. She was always available and so helpful. She was like a daughter to us!!! In 2008 my husband, a few friends and I took this same vacation, and 9 years later I did it with my own group because it had been one of the best trips we had made and part of that was the beauty of the area, hotel, Antonio, and of course Karen. Costa del Sol, in my opinion, is the most beautiful place to visit in all of Spain, and no better tour operator to help you make your plans than Suntours.
